Xiaomi had released a new affordable smartphone namely Redmi S2 in May 2018. It features a wide range of it own storage and good quality of camera, somehow it lacks some basic features. All users that use Xiaomi’s smartphone can expect Redmi S2’s display and performance is up to average and not exceeded its others product. The smartphone may lack on it own features but it offer users to gain a reliable smartphone at a low cost. Users who like selfie can put their expectation high with Redmi S2.
Redmi S2 offers users with capacitive and multitouch display that features a large 5.99” inches HD (high definition) screen that leads to 1440×720 pixels. Screen of Redmi S2 use Corning Gorilla Glass protection that make the viewing angles look wide. The smartphone also look like its others product providing fingerprint scanner at the back of the screen to unlock the interface. Redmi S2 is packed with 2GHz Octa Core Snapdragon 625 chipset and 3GB of RAM while its 32GB or 64GB internal storage offers user to expand its storage to 256GB through its microSD card.
The smartphone had been shell with a metal rear panel that features rounded edges through all its sides. Redmi S2 gives its users a good image through its camera that had been made provided with 16-megapixel front shooter and 12+5-megapixel primary camera. The camera also provides its users Portrait mode, EIS (Electronic Image Stabilization) mode and LED flash at the rear of the phone to help users with some low-light images. Facial recognition had also been setup to help its users to unlock the smartphone through a glance.
Xiaomi had made the smartphone’s memory expansion slot a bit larger with a Hybrid SIM slot. Redmi S2 also had packed itself with non-removable Li-Ion 3,080mAh battery to comfort user’s time when charging the smartphone. It uses Android 8.1 Oreo as its operating system and it use MIUI 9 as its skin on the top. Its connectivity options include microUSB 2.0 ports, 3G, 4G with VoLTE support that is compatible with Reliance Jio, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.2, and Infrared.
